From building forms to pouring concrete
I spent years as a carpenter, framing houses and building forms, before I switched over to concrete and started Kingsland Concrete in 2021. I learned the concrete side by working next to finishing crews on those jobs and then on my own crew, one pour at a time. What I care about most is that a job is set up right before any concrete arrives, because a bad grade or a crooked form can't be taken back once it's poured.
Most of our calls come from homeowners in and around Kingsland, along with builders and small business owners who need a slab, footings or a parking lot. We dig out and pack the subgrade, the ground your slab sits on, then set the forms, pour, cut control joints so the concrete cracks along lines we picked, and clean up before we leave.
We reply to calls and messages within one business day. Before the pour, I'll tell you what the day looks like and how long the curing wait is, the time new concrete needs to harden before it takes your weight or your car. If something under the old slab changes the plan, I'll tell you before we go on.
